the music reviews
This CD was inspired by the physicist, Richard Feynman. It features the voice of Kongar-Ol Ondar, who is a throat singer from Tuva. He can sing three notes simultaneously. Feynman collected stamps from Tuva and he dreamed of visiting the country. His voice and his bongo drums have been mixed with the vocals of Ondar. This is the true music of the steppes and the authentic voice of the shaman. Ondar was elected to the Tuvan Parliament in 1998. He also founded a school of throat-singing in the capital city, Kyzyl. Look on a map. To the north-west of Mongolia. The first big river is the Yenisei and Kyzyl is on this waterway.
